Our U15 OPDL team is building its 2026/27 roster. Your son trains three nights a week in Niagara Falls, in the league that 80% of Ontario’s 2025 boys provincial team players came from.
Uche Agba played professional football in Nigeria, Bahrain and Malaysia, winning trophies along the way. He knows what the senior game demands, because he lived it.

Straight answers
The questions families ask before they register, answered without the sales gloss.
Is my son good enough?
The only way to know is to trial. If full-time OPDL is a step too far right now, the developmental route lets him train with the team while he keeps playing for his current club. A trial invitation and a roster place are not guaranteed.
What does it cost?
NFSC does not publish OPDL fees online, so ask the technical lead for the full 2026/27 cost, what it includes and any payment options before you commit. Our parent page has a private calculator that turns your budget into a cost per training hour.
How much time does it take?
Plan on three evenings a week across a year-round program (NFSC advertises 46 training weeks over 11 months), plus OPDL matches, mostly on weekends, from about May to October. Confirm the exact U15 schedule with the club.
He already plays OPDL for another club. Can he trial?
Yes. Phase II, open until February 21, 2027, includes eligible players from OPDL and non-OPDL teams. A current OPDL player needs an OPDL Trial Permission Form from his current club’s Technical Director. Register with NFSC and confirm the trial invitation and any required permissions. Players previously registered outside Canada need an International Transfer Certificate first.
Can a non-OPDL player trial during Phase II?
Yes. Eligible players from rep, competitive and house-league teams can register during Phase II. Register with NFSC and confirm the trial invitation and any required permissions before coming to the field.
Does OPDL guarantee a scholarship or a pro contract?
No, and nobody honest will promise one. OPDL gives players a standards-based environment, regular evaluations and the chance to be seen by provincial scouts. What a player does with that is up to him.
How do we start?
Register through the official NFSC trials page, or email the technical lead first with your son’s current team and position. No walk-ups are allowed, so register before you come to the field.
